Meet Nasrin

A long-time volunteer at Substation33 and one of our much-loved resident motherly figures.

Growing up in Iran, now calling Australia home, Nasrin brings a generous heart, a background in catering, and a deep love of cooking for many. You’ll often find her serving up one of her signature curries for volunteers - and on BBQ days, there’s almost always a little something extra she’s made for everyone.

Nasrin has also shared her skills through cooking classes and catered events, but at the heart of it all is her love of helping others. Seeing people happy, content, and well-fed is what brings her the most joy (and yes, her chickens sometimes benefit from the leftovers too 🐔).
