Substation33 Volunteer Stories: Lincoln

Lincoln has been with Substation33 for nearly six years now and has contributed his time and skills to many of our projects over the years since. Lincoln is often found at the recycling bins combing through e-waste, as he has an eye for things worth salvaging. With his help we have repaired or repurposed many interesting objects that would have otherwise have been scrapped, including the commercial coffee machine for the Solar Coffee Trailer. (If you saw our post about our coffee machine being beyond repair, you will be pleased to hear that Lincoln seems to have worked magic and has been able to repair it for the time being).
On Fridays you can find Lincoln at the BBQ cooking up the Friday feed for our staff and volunteers. “Lincoln Patties” are a crowd favorite, and you know they are good otherwise we would not have made a logo for them. We can't say any more lest we give away the ‘secret’ recipe!
Regardless of where you find him, Lincoln is always putting in the hard yakka, and we want to give him a huge thank you for all the time he has volunteered to Substation33. Thanks mate, we appreciate everything you do.
